Maintenance of the facilities Department

Objectives / Goals: -


1 - Contributing to the achievement of the objectives of public administration of the facilities to take advantage of modern technologies in the field of general maintenance

 

2 - Develop an integrated system includes programs for the maintenance of facilities and general maintenance of the university city , and programs for the renovation works of constructions and buildings and classrooms -  for the continuation of its efficiency and performance of high-quality

 

3 – Maintain of the city's university buildings, facilities and aesthetics and its surrounding environment

 

4 – Polarizing of the distinctive qualified manpower technical and craftsmen
  and rehabilitation of these competencies in order to do maintenance works so as to keep pace with urban expansion in University City

 

 

 

Tasks: -


1 - Implementation of public policy for the management of the facilities with respect to general maintenance works


2 - Develop a future plan to modernize and improve the maintenance works in general, and to rationalize the use of electricity and water in coordination with the concerned authorities


3 - Preparation of carefully studied emergency maintenance plan to deal promptly with emergencies in coordination with the Department of Safety and Security with respect to matters of safety and natural disasters

 

 

4 - To form a technical committee from the management for the detection of constructions, buildings and public facilities that need repair, and study their recommendations in this regard and submit to the supervisor of the public administration of the facilities for guidance

 

 

5 - To modernize and develop of the technical specifications for contracts of the general maintenance in order to cope with the needs of the infrastructure of the university campus, to improve its level and form of aesthetic

 

 

6 - The direct supervision to activate the functions and responsibilities of engineers, craftsmen and technicians from the employees of the management for the implementation of maintenance programs as per their specialist  

 

 

7 - Maximum benefit from the factor of time to end the operations of the maintenance of facilities and  to make sure its quality in accordance to  the technical and engineering specifications

 

8 - Follow-up to the contractor to remove the remnants of repair and cleanliness of the site


9 - Providing all supplies and materials and spare parts required for workshops and work sites


10 - Application of the principles of safety and environmental protection in all operations and maintenance works

 

 

11 - Create Archive desktop for as –built drawings , catalogs, repair manuals, manuals of equipment, of the Administration of  Public Facilities

 

12 - Prepare periodic reports on performance and development proposals and achievements for the departments and units and staff

 

13 - Supervision and administrative and technical follow-up - for all the tasks of management employees and its divisions and units so as to end of their duties on time

 

14 - Supervision on the implementation of contracts for operation and maintenance of facilities, and the work of contractors to complete the work on time

 

15 - Preparation of periodic reports on the progress of work in the administration
